Brote de Salmonella por queso de cabra no autorizado afecta a 66 personas en la Región Metropolitana

El Seremi de Salud de la Región Metropolitana, Gonzalo Soto Brandt, informó que 66 personas han resultado afectadas por un brote de Salmonella relacionado con el consumo de queso de cabra de elaboración clandestina. El producto se comercializaba de manera informal en diversos puntos de la provincia, y siete personas en la Región Metropolitana han requerido hospitalización, dos de ellas en cuidados críticos. El elaborador del queso, identificado tras una investigación, enfrenta un sumario sanitario, y se ha eliminado el producto de la circulación. Se emitió un llamado a la ciudadanía para desechar cualquier queso sin resolución sanitaria. Durante el 2023, la Región Metropolitana notificó 163 brotes de enfermedades transmitidas por alimentos, afectando a cerca de 881 personas, con más de 60 hospitalizadas.
